Phantasy Star: Alisa’s Adventure is a Choose-Your-Own Adventure style role playing gamebook. The book was originally published exclusively in Japan in 1989 by Futabasha Publishers; it was written by Mitsutaka Ode and illustrated by Kunio Aoki. This is an unofficial fan translation by Lala Landale (@yumpoplala). Information about the original Japanese book can be found here.
The story has multiple endings and contains 420 navigable Mini Chapters that take you down different paths. There are many ways to “Game Over” by reaching a premature End. Follow along with a pen and paper to keep track of your party’s points.
